I'm a retired office manager,now a housewife. There's just my husband and I at home. I have 2 daughters, grown and married. I have 2 beautiful grandson. I love being able to take my time and cook now. Trying things I never had time for. We live on a farm and this year,I'm going to try canning veggies from our garden. Wish me luck!!!!!! That's a hard one. My husband is a meat and potatoe man. I love to find new ways to spice up his favorites Piling in the kitchen and everyone tasting and giving their opinion on what the food needs and laughing at what we some times came up with. Miss my girls on this. When my family likes it and thumbs up ,with complaints on how full they are, but still take another bite. That's my triumphs. Along time ago. My frist dinner for my husband. I cooked a roast and potatoes. We didn't have an oven, I put them on a burner and put it on low ,to cook all day. My husband work third shift, I figured it would be done by the time he woke up and he could have a wonderful supper before going to work. I then went into town. I was gone about 3 hours and came home to a smoke filled house , a supper ruined and a new pot burn up( no cleaning could save it). I had read the dial wrong and put it on high. Funny thing, my husband slept threw it, smoke and all. He raved about the sandwich I made him that night. We laugh now when he asks for a good smokey house sandwich.
