About this Cook
I am a mom to two young boys who are willing to try just about anything I cook. Sometimes they like, sometimes they don't, but at least they try it!
My favorite things to cook
Anything with veggies. I also love to cook low fat, healthy foods that actually taste good. It's a personal challenge of mine to get my husband eat a well balance meal.
My favorite family cooking traditions
With you young boys cookies are always a hit. We make LOTS of cookies for Christmas. My boys love to pick the recipe for Santa's cookies. They take great pride in make his cookies!
My cooking triumphs
Canning homemade pasta sauce and salsa using only ingredients grown in my organic garden. Also, making basil pasta to go with the sauce!
My cooking tragedies
I love to decorate cakes, sadly, I am rather pathetic at baking. I keep trying, and someday I'll figure it out!

Baked Kale Chips
I either use garlic infused olive oil or add garlic to the oil. I find if you really rub and massage the kale with oiled hands you can get away with using less oil. I can eat a whole batch of these by myself!! but my kids like it too.

San Francisco Sourdough Bread
I have been searching for a great sourdough recipe and finally found it! I made it in my mixer, adding ingredients as listed, then let it mix/knead for a few minutes. I made one loaf with the onions, and one without; both were great. I will be making this bread at least once a week, thanks for sharing!
