About this Cook
Growing up in the San Fernando Valley I was exposed to a variety of ethnic cuisines and love them all. I miss the authentic Mexican cooking of the local tacquieras and the families of my friends. I will never be able to duplicate their talent.
My cooking triumphs
I cook for busy families and many have specific health or religious cooking requirements. When I can help take away some of their stress associated with food preparation then I am most satisfied.

Linguine With Clam Sauce
I liked this recipe. It was very good and easy to prepare. If you want a true taste of Italia, use a light olive oil instead of cooking oil, try fresh clams and don't forget lemon. I'm glad this recipe refrains from adding cheese (not authentic) but I'm sure tastes good to the American palate.

Pineapple Ice Cream
Very good recipe. Switch heaving/whipping cream to 2 cups and milk to 1 and 3/4 cups so you don't waste any part of the pint container. Add a little more sugar for a richer taste.

Strawberry Cake from Scratch
Hey GothicGirl, your the best. I cut the recipe in half and made cupcakes with vanilla buttercream frosting. Reduced cooking time to 19 min. Other than that, did nothing different and had great results. The batter tasted just like a strawberry shake from the place with billions served.
