Lemon Pasta Sauce

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2011
I have this sauce on the stove as I type this. I didn't want to use the lemon juice, as my mom taught me when I first started cooking that if you don't have buttermilk on hand to just add lemon juice to your cream or milk...so with that being said, I didn't want a "buttermilk" sauce on my pasta, so what I did was I melted my butter on med-low, added 2 Tablespoons of lemon grass herb blend (you can find the tubes next to the fresh herbs at your local produce section of the grocery store), and about 1 tsp lemon pepper, and I added a chicken bouillon cube to my cream. Came out PERFECT, nice, subtle lemon taste.

The Best Cheeseball

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2009
I made this for a Christmas party, shaping it into a snowman like the picture. EVERYONE not only loved the cute little snowman, but they enjoyed eating it as well. I had no leftovers except the hat, eyes, nose, arms, ect. like Frosty had melted!! GREAT recipe thank you very much for sharing.

Best Steak Marinade in Existence

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2009
This was a great marinade, I didn't have lemon juice so I replaced it with Sherry wine vinegar..YUM. I replaced the parsley with Oregano, and used Thyme instead of Basil. IT CAME OUT FANTASTIC, we used NY strip steaks, and my fiance loved it.

Tip for those OUT of powdered sugar: Simply place sugar in a coffee rinder, grind until sugar is a fine powder and VIOLA...you now have powdered sugar.

Apple Dumplings with Rich Cinnamon Sauce

Reviewed: May 26, 2009
I'm making these now, and as I peeked in the oven to check on them, a few of the dumpling's filling spilled out onto the pan. I'm sure it will be a messy goodness, but not what I expected. I followed the recipe exactly, sealing with egg white, and the mess is spilling from the bottom. I don't know what would be the cause, but maybe when I try again it will be all in one piece.

Spanish Rice Original

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2009
This recipe was GREAT. I made it exactly as the recipe said, adding nothing nor deducting anything. It was VERY flavorful. I made this with tacos, and it turned out to be a great meal. Next time I'm going to use this recipe to make rice and bean burritos. I think this recipe can be used for anything, i.e. Main dish, side dish, burrito filling, etc.

Jalapeno Poppers II

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2009
Just a tip for those handling peppers. All you have to do (so you don't have to worry about gloves or baggies on your hands) is coat your hands in olive oil. If your hands end up burning rub them in milk, not a milk based product..MILK. It takes the burn away immediately, and even works on the lips (sometimes it burns there too after eating a hot pepper). My Grandma used the oil method and passed it along to me, and also the rubbing of the milk. IT WORKS TRUST ME!!!
