About this Cook
I'm a happy mother of two, who loves to cook. I had wanted to go to school to be a chef at one point, but didn't want the odd schedule with two kids. I love the outdoors, spending time with my family, and cooking for them, or anyone that comes through the door.
My favorite things to cook
I'm italian and French so cooking italian/French foods is second nature. I love cooking asian and mexican dishes, as well as cajun/creole. I do however love to find new recipes, regarless of ethinticity.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I loved when my grandma would cook for us on weekends, birthdays, any holiday. It was a time for the family to get together and enjoy a great meal while laughing and enjoying one anothers' company.
My cooking triumphs
When I make a meal and see people smiling and ejoying it, to me that's a triumph.
My cooking tragedies
I did the all known no no by leaving the house while things were on the stove, thinking it would be fine. We came home to a house full of smoke and two scared kitties. Needless to say the house was in one piece, no fire and I'll never ever do that again..SHAME ON ME!!

Best Steak Marinade in Existence
This was a great marinade, I didn't have lemon juice so I replaced it with Sherry wine vinegar..YUM. I replaced the parsley with Oregano, and used Thyme instead of Basil. IT CAME OUT FANTASTIC, we used NY strip steaks, and my fiance loved it.

Whipped Cream
Tip for those OUT of powdered sugar: Simply place sugar in a coffee rinder, grind until sugar is a fine powder and VIOLA...you now have powdered sugar.
