About this Cook
As you can tell, I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Steelers. With that being said, I live a very simple live and little things bring me huge joy. I love cooking (not so much baking) and I find that being in the kitchen is a huge stress reliever.
My favorite things to cook
I love cooking different foods from different countries such as Thailand,Indonesia,India, Trinidad, Greece, Italy - pretty much anywere.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Well my mother is Italian so we always had HUGE meals on Sunday afternoons. I try to do that with my son and fiance now (as long as it doesn't coincide with a Steelers game) :-)
My cooking triumphs
When I made lasagna and brought it in to work - everyone gobbled it up and asked for the recipe! One coworker even offered to pay me to make her a tray!
My cooking tragedies
The slow cooker taco soup recipe that everyone else on this site seems to love. I hated it as did my family. So SAD!

Slow Cooker Turkey Breast
I made this last week with the intention of using it for turkey sandwiches all week. When I took it out of the crockpot - it was literally falling apart. So I had to try it. Then my son had to try it. Then the fiance. We stood there nibbling on it until it was half gone. So we only had turkey sandwiches for one day! Thanks for an easy, tasty recipe!

Northwest Steakhouse Steak Marinade
Best steak marinade I have tried. So juicy and moist! I broiled it in the oven (it's too cold to grill) and I haven't invested in a cast iron pan yet...I can only imagine what this tastes like grilled. My fiance said it was better than Ruth Chris! I used a New York Strip. THANK YOU for this recipe!

Pollo Mediterranean
I made this dish two nights ago and my family and I loved it! I used capers instead of olives as my son does not like olives, and I used half and half in place of the sour cream. I served with farfalle pasta. I'm sure it tastes great with chicken broth as many have used, but the wine really gives it something extra! Thanks for a great recipe.
