Chicken Pot Pie IX
I chose to make this recipe cuz it had so many good reviews. However, I can't ever make a recipe how it's suppose to be made. I decied to use this recipe as a base and I kinda did my own thing. Oh My!!! Was it delicious!!! This is what I did. Instead of boiling the chicken with the veggies(yuck!)I threw a marinade together consisting of olive oil, minced garlic, thyme, rosemary, pepper, and lemon juice. Let the chicken (which I tenderized) sit in that for a couple hours, and I threw it on my George Forman grill while the veggies and sauce were cooking. I added fresh minced garlic to the onions and butter. I added a little more broth to the sauce, because some of the reviews said it was a bit dry. And, to the sauce I added some poultry seasoning, thyme, season salt and pepper. I used a flaky pie crust I found on this site. I wish I took a picture! It was beautiful! It was the best pot pie I've ever had. My family really liked it too. I will definately make this again. And...I'll probably make it totally different! =)
