Daddy's Little Girls are Mommy's Big Helpers
About this Cook
I'm a working mom raising two beautiful girls with the love of my life. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, watching FRIENDS and Bones reruns, helping with homework, and cuddling on the couch.
My favorite things to cook
I love hearty, home cooking. I'm a health nut that loves meat... and so does my partner. He's from the South so I've adapted to cooking to please us both. I cook pork chops, potatoes, seasoned green beans, macaroni & cheese, yams, homemade biscuits and gravy. I love those too as well as salad, crab cakes, broiled tilipia, spinach, sushi, and japanese chicken wings. I'm still learning to master more dessert options, but two favorites are banana pudding and pineapple upside down cake.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mother always prepared dinner so perfectly and my dad always took care of breakfast and dessert. So that means I had the "best of both worlds!" My mom used to cooked liver and tricked us into thinking it was steak or something. And my dad loved to make pancakes wrapped around ice cream for an occasional Saturday morning surprise.
My cooking triumphs
My three year old used to be a very picky eater until I made her own secret creations. Now she can't wait to sit at the table when I'm in the kitchen.
My cooking tragedies
I have problems with Not burning anything... so everytime I cook is a mini-tragedy!

Japanese Chicken Wings
I absolutely love this recipe. It's not hard at all and most importantly, it tastes fantastic! My sister made it first, and then I took it home and made it for my family and it couldn't have turned out any better. Thnx to the recipe submitter!
