About this Cook
I have been cooking since I was 8 years old. I love it! Love to watch others enjoy my food..that's what warms my heart. I would love to have my own catering business...that's my dream job! Cooking is just not about how things taste but how it smells, how it looks, how it makes you feel!
My favorite things to cook
Anything! But my specialty is cheesecakes!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Most holidays my family expects certain dishes..sometimes I throw something new in but they love that tradition.
My cooking triumphs
When I am having dinner guests I LOVE to try new recipes! Drives my husband crazy...but it always turns out perfect!
My cooking tragedies
A salmon casserole that I tried about 25 years ago...never again! It was really yuck!

Summer Corn Salad with Asparagus
This was an excellent recipe! I had to make a few modifications. I scaled it down to 2 servings. I used fresh red pepper and ran out of olive oil..used regular veg oil..still turned out very tasty. If anyone is doing Weight Watchers it is 3 pts a serving! YUM!

Roasted Garlic Peppercorn Sauce
I made this tonight and it was excellent! Only change I made is I put a little of Tony's seasoning in it...give it a little kick! I will make this with chicken next time and some penne pasta! Very good!

Enchiladas
This recipe was very good! I made just a few changes because we like things HOT! When I browned the meat I added a packet of Hot Taco Seasoning. I took the suggestion and mixed a half a can of Hot Wolf brand chili and I used green chile enchilada sauce. I also used roasted garlic instead of the garlic salt. I used Pam to fry the tortillas instead of using the extra oil. We will make this again...maybe try chicken next time!
