About this Cook
I live in Mexico with my brother and father, I just got fired and now I have a lot of free time to look for elaborate dishes and time to experiment and make my own.
My favorite things to cook
I love to make new recipes. Preferably elaborate things.
My favorite family cooking traditions
There´s many, my mom is a great cook.
My cooking triumphs
There´s many. The most recent one is cooking Christmas dinner for my entire family (about 15 people) that was the largest amount of people that I have cooked for in one meal. I made stuffed loin, twice baked potatoes, christmas salad and chocolate fudge pie.
My cooking tragedies
Haha, there are too many! Maybe when I was starting to cook, I tried making macaroni and cheese in the microwave and it was awful: the pasta was hard and crunchy and the cheese was lumpy and got burnt.I didn´t eat mac and cheese for a couple of years after that.

Sweet and Sour Sauce I
Gosh, I´m sorry but this just didn´t cut it. I tasted it as i was making it and it wasn't good. I tried adding orange juice and other tweaks, but that didn´t help much. I served it anyway, warning my family that it wasn´t an ordinary sns sauce, it didn´t taste as bad with the spring rolls and chicken, but definitely not what i was hoping.

The Best Meatballs
I don´t know what to say about this recipe. I was really excited about it when I read all the great reviews, but was skeptical about the recipe. I tried it anyway, with no adjustments at all. It wasn´t bad, but it wasn´t great. When I make meatballs, there are usually none leftover. This time my family ate about half and didn´t ask for leftovers the next day. I guess this is a good recipe for someone who has never made meatballs before and would like a good base. I´m gonna stick with my original meatball recipe for now.

Big Soft Ginger Cookies
I´ve made these cookies twice now in the same month. They´re pretty good. The only thing I would say is: the first time I made them, I eyed the ingredients and added maybe less baking soda than needed and the cookies were spread out nicely. I just finished making them again (I measured soda this time) and they came out like in your picture. Almost like little puffy biscuits. I would add less baking soda next time but will be making again. Oh and I have made these in the middle of a cookie crave with few ingredients on hand, so I never freeze the dough, but still turn out great.
