I love to bake. It is my first passion. I especially love down-home goodies. My kids are starting to develop the cooking bug and we love to make things together. I try to keep it simple for them. I love to try new recipes and trying them out on my family. We are true homebodies, but will venture out for something worthy of peaking our interest. I love to make chocolate chip cookies! For Christmas we make a HUGE tupperware tub full of various types of cookies, then the kids can pick one a day for a treat. My nephews and niece love to come over just to see what there is to eat. I take it too personally when people don't like a recipe. I had a disaster making cherry and white chocolate cookies for XMAS one year. It took alot of work and they were just horrible. They were hard as rocks and tasted like biscuits. Yuck. Never again.
