I actually followed how to bake more than how to make it. I mixed the butter and Parmesan cheese on top of the stove. I also cooked spaghetti sauce with it. Just enough so it wouldn't be dry. When it came to baking, I added a thin layer of cheese on top then covered it with foil. A little bit of cheese stuck onto the foil but the overall results were fabulous.

My family loved this but instead of putting it in the over, I cooked it on the pan, just like how I would cook a steak except add the salt&pepper ahead of time so it gives the meat times to absorb it. Definitely will be making this again.

Add a layer of sauce under the first layer of pasta so it wouldn't dry up. I use Parmesan cheese and Mozzarella cheese. I personally like those two cheese the best and it fits well together.
