I made this cake for my boyfriend and he told me this was the best desert I've ever made. That's a pretty good compliment considering I bake something just about every day. The only changes I made were substituting shortening for butter (only because I didn't have butter....next time I will use butter) I tripled the topping and put half batter in the pan, layered in half the topping, then poured the rest of the batter in and topped with remaining topping. Excellent!

Buttons and Bows

My boyfriend and I enjoyed this recipe. The only change I would make is rolling the pastry in butter, then tossing it into the sugar to better coat it. We preferred it this way as it gave it even more flavor. Overall good recipe.

Twice-Baked Mashed Potatoes

Absolutely perfect! I decided to make these with our Easter ham instead of the usual mashed potatoes and they turned out amazing. My boyfriend raved over them and insisted I integrate this recipe in with our usual meals. Delicious.

Original Nestle® Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookies

These are a staple in my household! They never last long. I don't think I will ever try a different chocolate chip cookie recipe. One thing I do have to say is that I only used to use light brown sugar and the cookies seemed to turn out very flat. One day I switched to dark brown sugar and they seemed to come out thicker and fix the problem. Make sure to use dark brown sugar so you don't come across the same problem!

Cinnamon Rolls I

Home-Style Scalloped Potatoes

Cream Cheese, Garlic, and Chive Stuffed Chicken

This recipe turned out so good for dinner my boyfriend declared it the best chicken he has ever eaten. We did not have any garlic or chives handy at the time so we substituted in sauteed onions and garlic powder. We also took the advice of another reviewer and added bacon bits into the cream cheese mixture. Excellent recipe, thanks!

Butterscotch Brownies III

The brownies themselves turned out so good that while they were cooling my boyfriend and I couldn't help but break off pieces of it to sample. When it actually cooled and I frosted them, I thought the frosting made them terrible. It was way too sweet at that point and we ended up scraping as much as the frosting off as we could. I would suggest leaving the brownies plain.
