Buttermilk Chess Pie
Brought to potluck and coworkers said it was the best buttermilk chess pie they've had yet! Used mexican vanilla in recipe and cooked for 1hr 10 minutes for 1 full-regular pie crust. NOTE: You can get 2 pies out of this recipe using regular sized crust or 1 deep-dish pie.

Portuguese Custard Tarts - Pasteis de Nata
I had these in Europe and was dying to make them at home. The custard is very delicious and very easy to prepare. The puff pastry was a bit tricky and time-consuming to work with in the muffin cups. I think I will attempt to use another type of pastry that has a bit more of a delicate and flakier texture like of the one's I experienced in Europe. Nonetheless, these custard tarts were yummy and I will make them again, just gotta find that perfect pastry to compliment the custard. Obrigado!

Portuguese Sweet Bread I
Outstanding Bread Recipe! The ease of making it in a bread machine makes this recipe one of my favorites. I have made this bread 5 times already and it comes out perfect each time. It got raving compliments from my Hawaiian Portuguese friends too. They *loved* it. I will sometimes use this bread as a base recipe and add in 1/4 c. of finely chopped coconut, 1 tsp.of coconut extract and use coconut milk in place of the milk to make a coconut variation. Another twist I use with this bread is to add 1/4 c. of crystallize ginger and 2 tsp. of Lemon juice to the recipe. I also replace the white sugar with the brown turbinado sugar. Topped with honey butter made with Lilikoi honey and this bread is ONOLICIOUS!! Merci beaucoup for sharing!
