My First Apple Pie: where it all began
Wow! Pretty!
About this Cook
I am currently finishing school with my husband and we are getting ready to have our first son! Yay! My husband is my BIG helper in the kitchen and together we've really gotten to enjoy some great recipes.
My favorite things to cook
I really like everything! I love finding new recipes, and unique food (Otherwise I find I can get bored.) I like to experiment, but I used to not be so successful at it. Getting better though. I really love making gourmet food, even though I rarely get the chance. Since I do a lot of design work, it's fun to make the food even look right for the occasion.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My husband and I are in the current work of creating those traditions. As of right now, we have asian food sundays! YUMMY!!
My cooking triumphs
The apple pie in my main pic right now, symbolizes the beginnings of some of spectacular triumphs. I had never cooked until college (I honestly hated it!), but since the class I took I really find it enjoyable, creative, fun, and relaxing. I guess the best event was a Full High Noon Tea which I put on for family and friends before we moved east. It took hours to prepare and was absolutely gorgeous and incredible! I would do it again, in a heart beat.
My cooking tragedies
OH dear, this was the worst. It was when I was in middle school! Cheese popcorn soup.... need I say more. Needless to say, it didn't come out very tasty (that's putting it mildly).

Cha Cha's White Chicken Chili
Loved all the seasonings! Yum. (My bad, I used dry beans which I had soaked - however I should have cooked them first :P before putting it together - this took a lot longer and a lot of water because of that)

Simple Sausage Casserole
This recipe was actually really good. Note if the cresent roles are not done all the way set your oven to broil for 3 minutes and the roles will be done. It was good and very filling.

Spring Lime Tea Cookies
These were so very perfect for a summer day. They're very light and buttery and I loved the fluffy texture. Plus they were fairly simple. My only change: Def. use powdered sugar for the icing, that way it sets up and looks very pretty. Company loved these. Thanks!
