About this Cook
I really love to cook. Anything, as long as it turns out good and tastes great. I love growing herbs and picking them to use in my meals. Next year I will expand my herb garden and maybe start a small indoor one for year round availability.
My favorite things to cook
Pizza. Ever since finding this recipe here for pizza dough (so easy) I make it probably twice a month (sometimes more). My kids and husband love it. I love Italian food and I'm always looking for a good chicken recipe. I think one of the best recipes I got here so far is the smoked cheese macaroni and cheese. It is to die for. I make a huge amount so we can eat it for a couple of days (or as long as it will last).
My cooking triumphs
Making the perfect steak and chicken. You really have to stay AT the grill to ensure the fire doesn't take over your meal.
My cooking tragedies
Burning what was the perfect steak while grilling. Who knew the fat from a steak could make the fire so big.

Creamy Slow Cooker Marsala Pork
The changes I made was to add more garlic (2-3 cloves more), use white wine (that's all I had), simmered the onions and mushrooms for 15 mins adding the garlic in the last 5 mins) and add this to the slow cooker in the last hour of cooking. 4 hours of total cooking time was enough. My husband said it was the BEST pork he has ever had. This will stay in my recipe box.

Chicken Pot Pie IX
The only reason for the 3 stars is the crust. I followed Christi's advice on the additional seasoning and liquids. I also bought the mini pie pans so the servings were individual. One thing I should have done was precook the bottom pie crust before adding the ingrediants. I also added mushrooms and diced red potatoes. You should incorporate the vegi's that you like, only makes sense. My husband loved it but the crust didn't cook enough underneath and was doughy. Next time I make this I will lower the temperature and cook longer so the crust on the outside doesn't harden so fast therefore reducing the amount of time I can keep in the oven. Like said before, a good starter recipe.

Key West Chicken
O M G !!! I made this last night. This was by far the best chicken recipe I have found yet. I doubled the honey and garlic and used 2 whole limes. It was to die for. It is such a light sauce. My grill ran out of gas while heating up so I grilled in a pan on the stove. And I didn't discard that great sauce after marinading. I continued to brush it on while cooking and during the last few minutes of cooking I poured the rest in the pan. I am making it again tonight since half my family missed dinner last night.
