I was raised in a suburb of Houston, Texas. I joined the Air Force at 18 as a mental health technician. I spent two years living in Japan and then was sent here to California where I met the love of my life, Alfred. That was two years ago. I now have a job as an accreditation coordinator for a regional medical center at the age of 23.
My favorite things to cook
I really love cooking new things. Luckily I have a significant other who LOVES to eat. =) I'm southern so anything that reminds me of home, such as stuffed bell peppers, pork chops, pastas and of course baking a ton during Christmas time.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Thanksgiving would probably be my favorite childhood cooking tradition. All of the women in the family breaking bread for stuffing, injecting one turkey for deep frying and basting the other for baking. Making "pink stuff" with my Grammie.
My cooking tragedies
For the longest time I could not get breakfast down correctly. I was constantly burning my eggs, bacon and pancakes. Then I realized I just needed to be patient and lower my heat... breakfast comes out nearly perfect.
