Great and versatile recipe. Made it a number of times with or without extra spices...tastes great with just olive oil and minced garlic! I use a tupperware container to do the shaking/coating step and then can use it to store the leftovers.

Carrot Cake III

I'm really not a carrot cake fan, but my boyfriend is so I made this for his birthday. And wow! It's made me into a carrot cake convert. And it definitely pleased his pallette as well. I added a touch extra cinnamon and think it could've used even a little more, but it was great as-is!

Hearty Vegetable Lasagna

Yum! I looked at some of the suggestions and didn't really follow any of them. I like noodles, so I didn't think one package was too much. Although next time I think I will add more veggies...it's great the recipe is so versatile; you can throw in whatever veggies you have on hand!

Mexican Mole Sauce

Great recipe for novice mole-makers. Definitely don't use tomato soup! It tastes like...well, tomato soup. I used tomato sauce the second time and it turned out great! I also followed the suggestions and used fresh garlic and added corriander and cinnamon. I think I might try adding chili powder next time.

Ultimate Green Beans

Soft Chocolate Cookies

I didn't have the sugar to put on top, so maybe that really would've given these that extra something, but the cookies themselves are a little plain for my taste. Still tasty, though. And the dough is very easy to handle.

Creamy Au Gratin Potatoes

My family and I liked this dish so much I made it twice in one weekend. It's very easy to keep the sauce smooth and creamy by adding the milk slowly (as should be done for all creamy sauces), and if it gets to thin I just add a touch more flour.

Chocolate Truffle Cookies

So tasty! A non-carb-eating friend broke their rule to try one and did not regret it for a second. A moderate chocolate fan, however, said they were too chocolatey. I'm a chocolate lover, so I thought they were perfect!

Extra Easy Fudge

Wow! This is one of the easiest things I've ever made! Of course it isn't going to taste like Grandma Betty's 1906 State Fair Fudge, but the point is that it has two ingredients (without the nuts) and tastes like fudge! Wonderful.

Mom's Chocolate Chip Meringues

This was the first meringue recipe I ever tried, and once my dad reminded me after my first attempt that you are supposed to use room-temperature eggs it turned out great! But as someone mentioned, I think it is a little too sweet. I think either removing some of the sugar or the chocolate chips would make it better.

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup
