My favorite family cooking traditions
The weird ones. Each year on St. Patrick's Day, all the food has to be green. I dye food when teaching colors to the kids and have a blast. Every Christmas Eve we traditionally have shrimp alfredo and red velvet cake. I love cooking that.
My cooking triumphs
My adaptions to a refridgerator pie recipe for peanut butter pie. The basic recipe sans peanut butter is very versatile and can be used for a myriad of different pies. My husband loves it when I whip one up.
My cooking tragedies
It is strange, but I can not cook chilli, white sauce (or gravy as it is can be called) or decent meatballs. The Lebanese Meatballs I tried while still living at my parents' home is infamous as I had to spring for take out after no one, including the dogs would touch them.
