About this Cook
I live in O'Fallon MO. I've been married for 14 years and have two beautiful children. I come from a family of good cooks, not open up a restaurant and get 5 star review cooks, but warm your soul kind of cooks. I've always had an interest in cooking and have found through the years if you cook with confidence most dishes will come out great!
My favorite things to cook
I like to make homemade pizzas, Mexican style dishes and I love to cook for a crowd. I also like throwing parties and making appetizers.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I throw a party for about 20 every New Years Eve and make the samething. Prime rib, homemade alfredo pasta, roasted red potatoes, and salad with an array of appetizers. This meal isn't inventive by any means but everyone loves it. It's become our tradition, with great memories, great comfort food, and all of our closet friends and family.
My cooking triumphs
Mastering the perfect pizza crust, sauce, and cooking time. We have it down to a science now. I have large pizza parties I supply a large variety of toppings from veggies, meats, fresh herbs, fruits, three types of sauces and an array of cheese. Everyone assembles there own and then we cook them to perfection. It's so exciting to see how inventive everyone becomes.
My cooking tragedies
The first time I tried making homemade hash browns were a complete disaster! It's a simple dish right, well I wasn't really thinking and decided to use my electric shredder to shred the potatoes. The potatoes turned into a nasty lump of gray yuckyness! My dear friend felt so bad for me she still ate them, bless her heart. I wouldn't have touched them with my worst enemy’s mouth.

Divine Hard-Boiled Eggs
Hardboiled eggs should always be peeled as soon as possible, and under a stream of cool water to make the egg retract away from the shell. Don't put your eggs in the frig if you want to get the peel off and keep your eggs looking pretty for presentation.

Crunchy Cheese Sandwiches
I can't wait to try this recipe. I bet it would make a great appitizer spread on thin slices of french bread with dijon mustard.

Buttery Soft Pretzels
These were great and easy to make, a fun food to make with the kids. I made them into sticks instead of pretzel shape and served them with a warm cheese sauce at a recent party... they flew off the table everyone was talking about how great they were. Can’t wait to make them again.
