Just me!
About this Cook
I love to knit and crochet and I even teach other how. Hubby and I love cooking together, even after 13 years together, and we love to try out new recipes. The kids aren't always happy about that but they will learn too.
My cooking tragedies
I have more tragedies then triumphs! I have made a cheesecake without any sugar. I've made biscuits as hard as rocks. I've even burned water!

Prego(R) Now and Later Baked Ziti
This was a great! The family like it because it wasn't spaghetti again! I only made half but will make the whole thing next time as I didn't have much for leftovers. Only difference is that whenever we make pasta sauce using Prego we always add garlic powder, onion powder and basil to it just to give it some extra taste.

Pumpkin Spice Bread
This turned out better then I expected! I used applesauce instead of oil, this was a first for me, and it is super moist. I also followed a reviewers tip about using 1/2 cup golden raisins and 1/2 dried cranberries, what a great ideal. I topped it off with a orange glaze made with orange juice concentrate, regular orange juice and powered sugar. I can't stop eating it. I have one to eat now and one in the freezer for later.

Slow-Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup
Loved it, even the kids ate it! Took the advice of other posters and added the chicken to cook and shredded it after it cooked and used store corn chips for ease, but will try it the other way too. Great dish on a cold day!
