Still learning after all these years.......
About this Cook
Have recently moved from big city life to a very small community of approx. 500 residents. Now produce my own food from my garden. Love this life.
My favorite things to cook
Anything gourmet. Love Indian cuisine. All challenges to my skills.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I have been creating family cooking tradition for my own family as my mother hated cooking and was not good at it. Now my adult kids are really excited about their own cooking and learning processes.
My cooking triumphs
I have had great success with Mexican and Italian meals for guests. Also I make wonderful homemade soups.
My cooking tragedies
First dinner party 25 years ago. Too well planned, too many courses. Left guests alone while I was frantic in the kitchen. Never made that mistake again!!

Oven Roasted Red Potatoes
I followed the ingredients exactly and put all in a large pastic bag then let marinade all day. They turned out delicious and perfectly cooked. My dinner guests loved them.

Baked Beet Root With Yogurt Walnut Dressing
I am a huge fan of baked beets. So, I served this as a pre-dinner appy-type dish. I served it at room temp. My guests thought it was so wonderful in flavour, pretty to look at and creative. I'm going to make it again for my Thankgiving dinner buffet table. Excellent recipe!

Best Lemonade Ever
This recipe was so easy and quick. I have never tried to make lemonade before. During our heat wave this is a perfect beverage. Served it to my neighbor who raved over it. This will be in my refidgerator all summer! Excellent starter for cocktails too!!
