i used - 1/2 brown sugar and 1/2 white sugar - milk chocolate morsels - 7 X 11 in pan (only because i ran out of white sugar and semi-sweet morsels) and these are the absolute best brownies i have tried. they freeze beautifully as well. Defrost for 1 min on microwave power 5. thanks so much for this recipe, Brooke. My family LOVED them.

pretty good recipe but definitely needs 1 cup of flour instead of 1 1/2 and 3 eggs not 4. I used bittersweet chocolate and added 1/3 cup of milk chocolate chips and 1/3 cup of chopped walnuts. For coffee lovers - try adding 1 tsp of instant coffee (decaf works well too).
