My reason for cooking!
About this Cook
I am a working mother with a toddler and a small baby.
My favorite things to cook
I love baking and making food my family loves. We've traveled all over and like to try different flavors and tastes. Hopefully my children will learn to be adventurous at my table.
My favorite family cooking traditions
We are creating our own.
My cooking triumphs
FINALLY Developing a method of making everyone in the house happy!
My cooking tragedies
Living in Florida/Arizona -- it's too hot to bake (or turn on the oven for that matter) 6 months out of the year!!

Kaese Spaetzle
This was my first attempt at making spaetzle and it was a great success. I split the batch, tossed 1/3 of it with cheddar cheese for my 4 year old (who can be finicky) and she declared it much better than macaroni and cheese (you know, the blue box). The rest I served as a side to our New Year's Day pork and sauerkraut. My very Polish husband stated it was as good as his mothers and I intend to make this a regular side dish in my house.

Focaccia Bread
This was delicious and easy! I did proof my yeast, but it very well may work without it. (Water should be about 125 degrees if you are trying that) I used olive oil in the dough rather than vegetable oil and did not add mozzerella (none on hand) Looking forward to using the leftovers for sandwiches.

Pumpkin Roll Cake
This was delicious and fairly easy. I did not use nuts because I have small children and they do not like nuts. I had a little trouble with removing the waxed paper from the edges and I want to try parchment paper next time. I was pretty intimidated by the turning out and rolling process, but both were easy.
