Well, I'm recently engaged. Life is getting pretty friggin domesticated...I basically joined this site because I don't really know much about cooking. Turns out I actually enjoy it. I really, really love to bake. Cupcakes, coffee cakes, cakes in general. I like doing fancy cookies too. I'm recently branching into grilling seeing as I bought a fantastic grill to practice on. I have a few traditional polish favorites from my grandma. I'm marrying an Italian so I'm quickly becoming acclimated to that style of cooking. I'm into healthy cooking as well. I've also recently become interested in Asian style cooking, especially Philippino. my grandma's ham's at easter and any and every polish dish she ever turned out. german chocolate cake! a thanksgiving dinner for 15... I attempted to make what I called "raspberry lemonade cake" for my mother's 47th birthday...what a disaster. The icing ended up being something reminiscent of cement. I had no idea how to ice a cake with a puree in between the layers...it was a swirly, lumpy mess. Tasted great though :)
