About this Cook
I am a Chef from the South. I work over seas cooking for Americas Heros. I love to travel and learn new things. I am a SCUBA diver surfer and love to have fun. I stay active and try to keep my nutriton in line. I cook because I love too when I am off work you can usualy find me cooking for family and friends or BBQing with my team at various cook offs around the south.
My favorite things to cook
BBQ, Sothern, Cajun I am learning French but my favorite of all is to come up with something off the top of my head with whatevers around that tastes amazing and leaves friends wondering how in the heck I did it..lol
My favorite family cooking traditions
Mostly home cookin and sothern treats anything Cajun French from biscuts to gumbo.
My cooking triumphs
Recently when I was home from Iraq I cooked for about 30 family and friends(and one really special woman!) After the meal we all sat around and talked late into the night. It made me remember my Uncle who has now past on and for a moment like the family Grill had been past on to me. Something that brings people together and keeps them there is what life is all about to me the Food cannot be touched by a greater flaovr than love and and family.
My cooking tragedies
Way to many to list here. But I dont think of them as tragedies I think of them as steps to becoming a better Chef. If it wasnt for all my failures my triumphswould never taste so sweet.

Carrot Cake III
FRIGGIN AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We cooked this for 14,000 troops here in Iraq and it disapeared like it was a prop in a magic act. It was light and fluffy but still solid and thick perfect consitancy and sweetness factor was just enough. This is a keeper! The frosting was a perfect fit for it as well. Major applaus on this one Tammy!
