Curry Pumpkin Soup
This was great, but I think I was heavy-handed on the curry powder (usually I like extra, this time I don't think it was a good idea). I live in a foreign country so I have to buy a gourd similar to pumpkin called ahuyama and boil it, then when it's soft I scoop it out of the rind and put it in the blender. I added 4 garlic cloves and half an onion in the blender and had that as my replacement for the canned pumpkin. Next time I might add in a few splashes of white wine. Yum!

Orzo Shrimp Stew
This is a great base recipe to do whatever you want. You could probably try bacon & spinach, chicken & veggies, etc. and they would all be good! I didn't have the problem of there not being enough water, so I recommend following the amounts and only adding water if necessary. I also added garlic... I agree with other advice to wait to add the veggies, according to how mushy (or not) you like them.

Banana Wheat Bread
For me this bread was a bit dry and bland (and I was careful not to over-handle the dough). I used 4 big bananas and added 1 tsp cinnamon and some nutmeg. Next time I might add some brown sugar or chocolate chips, and use more bananas (the good bites are the ones that have little sweet chunks of banana); applesauce might also help. It also might need to be covered at least half of the time it's in the oven - the top of mine started to burn at 35 minutes (I live at high altitude. Ugh). I'll definitely try it again with these modifications.
