About this Cook
I like trying all kinds of food, it doesn't matter to me if it's sour, sweet, or spicy. I will at least try it. Then I tell you if I like it. One of my pet peeves is people saying they don't like something, and yet they never tried it. Just say... I don't know. As I get older I'm really learning the importance of eating as naturally as you can. Less preservative, less red meat, more essential fatty acids, more green leafy veggies, less gluten and sugar, and certainly less processed foods.
My favorite things to cook
Pasta, appetizers, salads, healthy snacks, fruit, drinks,
My favorite family cooking traditions
We don't really have any "traditions", but I like cooking with my son (15). I've done it since he was little, he has grown into fine young man, who appreciates all different types of food. Thank God, he's not one of those "picky" eaters. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
My cooking triumphs
Pulling off Christmas Dinner for 13 people. Turkey, stuffing and all the trimmings and dessert, snacks, and drinks. Turned out awesome and tasty.
My cooking tragedies
Trying to make custard, sugar fudge (never set) I guess I don't heat to that right temperature. Cooking anything when I'm sick, it never tastes right.

Marinated Baked Pork Chops
I made this recipe exactly as instructed!!!! The only difference is that I changed settings for 8 people instead of the 6. Everyone ate them up. There was 5 of us, and 9 chops! No leftovers tonight!

Garlic Green Beans
Well....everyone liked them! My son, went back and finished what was left in the serving bowl. No left overs tonight. I however next time will next time add a little less olive oil, you don't need that much, in my opinion. Thanks so much for an easy recipe that makes the ordinary bean into something tasty.

Scalloped Potatoes and Pork Chops
We ate it, but it was nothing special. Kind of bland. The ingredients did separate, which made my husband dislike it to begin with. He doesn't like his scallop potatoes saucy. The pork chops were very bland. Next time I will make my scallop potatoes, and season the meat differently. I had to keep in oven way too long to get the potatoes done. I can't even say that it was my doing, because I did follow the recipe.
