About this Cook
I'm a recently graduated culinary student working in a busy kitchen in NYC.
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook just about anything and everything you could think of. But it definitely gets an extra boost in my book if it involves cheese :-D
My favorite family cooking traditions
Thanksgiving and Christmas are definitely the best time for traditions... Dad's BBQ turkey on the rotisserie on the grill... mac and cheese casserole with mom... and Pumpkin Pie--my own special recipe.
My cooking triumphs
*Sweet and Spicy BBQ sauce... it took me an entire day's worth of "a little of this, a little of that..." and writing it down step by step to get it just right... but now it's the best bbq sauce I've ever tasted. *Shrimp scampi with spaghetti squash... part of my new low(er) carb kick. absolutely fantabulous.
My cooking tragedies
Well I've had a flop here and there, but nothing i'd call a tragedy... recently, instead of making my cookie crust for my Pumpkin pie like I usually do, I got lazy and bought one of those pre-made graham cracker crusts from the store... it subsequently burnt.

Good Old Fashioned Pancakes
these pancakes were much too bland and didn't rise enough. definitely not good for people who enjoy sweet pancakes.

Stuffed Breast of Veal
while the stuffing is very flavorful and good, i felt the seasoning on the veal itself was lacking.
