Easy Lemon Cookies

LOVE IT! The cake mix boxes are about an ounce smaller than the recipe called for so I added about 1/4 cup of flour and it came out with the perfect consistency. YUMMY results!

I took advice and cut it into small pieces and put into a crock-pot on low for the day. The chicken was a little dry but the taste was great!

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

This felt like it was missing something to me...maybe some veggies? I used bisquick (on hand) and made a quick batch...throwing in about 6 balls of dough. It went a little nuts and created an entire layer on top. Which actually worked out pretty well...almost like a shepherds pie...and it soaked up a bunch of the liquid. Overall, it was OK. I'll probably adapt it to use again.

Hot Cross Buns I

This is a keeper! Perfect, quick & easy. I did follow advice about the cross though... Mix 1/4 cup icing sugar, 1/4 cup flour, 1 tsp vanilla, 1 tbsp milk, and enough water to make a thick paste & pipe on after brushing with egg...before baking. They turned out PERFECT. We are on our second batch. And I used raisins instead of currants...don't think it would change it too much.

Slow Cooker London Broil

This is very similar to a recipe I've used for roast beef and it came out pretty much the same. Mostly in pieces so it was treated as more of a stew than anything. We served it over beef rice. I'll probably try this one again, maybe with chicken.

Easy Broccoli Quiche

I found the proportions of this one to be fine....and it tasted great! I used Buttermilk...I had to use it up so I figured why not. I also browned 4 slices of bacon and mixed it in with the broccoli before putting it into the pie shell. It's just not quiche to me without bacon! Pre-baking the shell for 10 minutes made it perfect.

Alyson's Broccoli Salad

My mother in law has been making this for years and it's one of our favorites! We made this last week and there were no leftovers :o) Very tasty....and easy to throw together. We do our's the day before mixing everything but the bacon. It seems to taste better if you leave it a full night...then mix in the bacon right before serving.

Fluff Dip for Fruit

I didn't have amaretto so I used Chambord(a black raspberry liquer from France)and everyone loved it! I did put a bit less in so the kids could enjoy it...but overall very tasty!

We loved this recipe! It made so much (I added 1 can of black beans, and a schwack of garlic) that I used 2 crock puts and frozen about 1/3 of it once we had eaten.

Deep Fried Dill Pickles

I had this at a friend's house on Sunday and then made it for my family last night. What a HUGE hit! The breading stuck (which is always an issue for me) and we are going to adapt it with other veggies.
