I agree with gdeezy. This rating is for the cake and the frosting. The frosting is delicious! The cake was a little too dry. It didn't have a lot of flavor. I was able to get the frosting to a spreading consistency, and was able to do a two and a three layer cake. It was time consuming, but if you are in the mood to bake and cook, it is a delicious frosting recipe. I use it on a yellow cake mix.

I have made this recipe for a few years now. It is the best for a quick delicious dessert. Everyone loves it from my 80 year old dad to my 4 year old great neice. It is a favorite with my bunko club. The only thing I sometimes do any differently is to drizzle a little honey on an individual serving if someone wants honey. A hit at any function!
