Super easy recipe. I made this into a paste salad. I added 1 pound of medium shells, 8oz. of crab meat and 1/4 cup of italian parsley. I also had to add a total of 1 and 1/4 cup of ranch. Really yummy for a quick lunch.

Soft Sugar Cookies II

These were very soft and puffy. I ran out of butter and used shortening, instead. The cardamom is a nice touch. I will make these this holiday for cut-outs.

Mom's Stovetop Pork Ribs

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2009
These were good, but heed the advise of others and reduce the soy sauce by half or more. I used pork riblets and it took about an hour for the water to completly evaporate. Next time I'll use a more meatier rib and 1/8c. of soy.

Chicken Stir-Fry

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2009
This is how my mother use to make stir-fry. I made without the celery and added mushrooms. After added chicken back in I made more sauce using same measurements but adding 2 Tbls of brown sugar. I had my sister and brother-in-law over and they request this recipe.

Asian Coleslaw

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2009
This was very yummy. I made this with chicken stir fry from this site. I substituted half the oil for sesame oil and toasted some sesame seed to top off this salad. It was a big hit with my family. I will make again adding chicken or steak for an entree'.

Grilled Venison Backstrap

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2009
Amazing!! I made this recipe last week. I marinated the loins for 24 hrs. Then let the brown sugar, hickory smoked bbq sauce soak in the meat all day. I wrapped the in bacon and grilled using apple wood with charcoal on the grill. YUMMY! My boyfriend said it was the best venison he's had in his life.I am making it again tonight using steaks and raspberry chipotle bbq sauce.

Soft Sugar Cookies III

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2009
These are as others reviewed soft cake-like cookies. I found them to be very tasty. You have to expect them to be cake-like, for the recipe calls for 3 eggs. If you don't want your cookie like cake decrease to 2 eggs instead of 3.

Barbecued Beef Liver

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2009
I ,myself, am not to found of liver. I have made liver many ways over the years for my boyfriend and he said this was the best he has ever had. I actually ate a piece as well. The only different thing I did was to saute up a medium onion and add it to the simmering sauce. Forget the plain old liver and onions ,I chalk this one up as my number one liver recipe!

Southern Style Holiday Greens

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2009
I only used turnip green since that is what I had in my garden. I made a few adjustments and added 2 Tbsp. of sugar to the pot because turnip greens are bitter depending if they are young or not(my were not). I also took the advice of another and added moe pickle juice 1 1/2 tsp. of garlic powder, 1/2 tsp. crushed red pepper and 2 tsp. of seasoned salt. Very tasty recipe I will make this for the holidays!!

Rhubarb Jam

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2009
This jam is the perfect balance of sweet and tang. I made the recipe using 3 lbs. of rhubarb and adding 1/4 cup more sugar and a few dashes of cinnamon. I think this made for a more jammie consistency (adding more rhubarb).Fresh orange juice and zest is the key. I zested my orange over the pot to get those essential oil in the pot as well. I also figured if I was going to take the time to make jam I might as well process it in jars as well. I did that by sterilizing the jars then filling the hot jars with the hot jam and topping the jar with the lid and ring and processing the jars in a boiling hot water bath for 15 minutes. This is an excellent recipe I will make this again. Thanks!:)

Slow Cooker Chicken Parisienne

I love things that are quick and easy. This recipe is that and some. the only changes I did was I used 1 Tbsp. of minced garlic and cooking sherry instead of white wine I believe it added more depth and I used bone-in chicken thighs. This was very tasty I will be added this to my quick and easy go-tos!!

Neat Sloppy Joes

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2009
Super yummy sloppy joes. I read the reviews first and tweaked the recipe a bit.I took my handy mini chop and chopped all the veggies and 1/2 a cup of red bell pepper and minced garlic (about 2 tsp.),then added only 1/8 cup brown sugar,1 tsp. of liquid smoke and 2 Tbls. of honey hickory bbq, I also used cider vinegar in place of white and no garlic powder. Everything else was the same. These were absolutly delis. I would have rated them a 5 star except for all the tweaking!:)

Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2009
I did something i never do I followed the recipe to a "T". The chicken cooking time definatly needs to be cut in half. My chicken was dry I left mine in the crock pot for 6 hours. Next time i will cook for only 3 and 1/2 hrs and use less brown sugar and like some reviewers use an onion in the sauce. The sauce it self was good, but the recipe itself needs some adjusting. I will try this recipe again, though.
