Lemon Meltaways

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2009
I agree with other reviewers who say these were inedible. At first you taste lemon and it is good, then they do melt away in your mouth, but not in a good way. It leaves a chalky corn starch taste in your mouth. I followed the recipe exactly and I do not care for them at all.

Red Potato Bites

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2009
These were good. I'm not sure if I liked the texture. I would suggest boiling them longer. I don't think I will make again. They look better than they taste and all the work.

Cranberry Meatballs

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2009
These were the best! I served them at a Christmas party and people couldn't get enough of them. I followed exactly except added some chopped garlic and onion and no garlic powder. Will make again and again!

Tina's Shortbread Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2009
BEST CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE EVER! Just how I like them. Dense, sweet, and crumbly. I have been searching for a recipe that duplicates these huge chocolate chip cookies they use to sell in high school. I will be making these over and over again. I didn't add walnuts and I used mini chocolate chips. I drizzled white chocolate and sprinkles on top. I also used 1/4 cup each white sugar and brown sugar.

Cream Cheese Snowball Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2009
So awesome! The only thing I would suggest is to refridgerate the 15 minutes before so they stay in the same shape. Also, I needed to cook mine for about 8-10 minutes; not 6. I keep them cold in the fridge and they are great snowballs to eat!

Pesto Cheesy Chicken Rolls

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2009
This was delicious! The only thing I did differently was use the suggestion of dipping the chicken in egg and then in bread crumbs. Came out perfectly!

Mocha Chocolate Chip Banana Muffins

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2009
I love them! I used 3 tbsp coffee in 2 tbsp water. I also used 1/2 cup oil instead of 1 cup margarine. I used Hershey's dark chocolate chips. They came out super moist and irresistable!

Italian Sausage Tortellini Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2009
This was great! I sauteed the green pepper in with the onion and garlic. Then I deglazed the pan with the wine and then added the rest of the wet ingredients. I used half beef stock and chicken stock and 1 14oz can of petite diced tomatoes in garlic and olive oil. I didn't have totellini so I used mini cheese raviollis. I didn't use carotts or zuchini. Great on a cold Iowa winter day.

Oatmeal Cranberry White Chocolate Chunk Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2009
Oh my goodness they are great. I accidentally screwed up the butter proportion, so I ended up using 1 cup butter, 1 cup brown sugar, 2 eggs, and just a tad bit more of the oats, flour and baking soda. I also added about 2 tsp vanilla and 2 tbsp white sugar. Now I like my cookies sweet, and these were. Just how I like 'em!

Slow Cooker Chicken Stroganoff

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2009
This is very very good! I put the chicken soup in at the beginning along with frozen chicken breast and butter. I only used half of the seasoning packet and 4 oz low fat cream cheese with about 1/4 cup low fat sour cream. Served over egg noodles!

I made this for Thanksgiving. It was very much liked. I didn't use bananas and only had white marshallows, but it still looked great.

Goulash Supreme

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2009
Sooooo good! As another reviewer suggested, I cooked the pasta seperately. I used 14.5 oz petite dice tomatoes, 8 oz tomatoe sauce, no stewed tomatoes or paste. Spices were the same plus salt and pepper. This will be added to my rotation!

Cheeseburger Soup I

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2009
Wow! This is awesome. I used 1 lb beef, no carrot and no celery. I used 16 oz low fat Velveeta for the cheese and low fat sour cream. I used 4 cups of shredded hash browns for the potatoes. The texture was perfect. I crumbled bacon on top. I froze the left overs.

Awesome! I used 1.5 lbs meat and 1 onion. I used 1 can of beef broth instead of water. I used Merlot for the wine. I also used beefy onion soup mix.
