We quite enjoyed this chowder. We made a few adjustments/additions to the recipe (3/4 c. diced celery instead of 1/2, 1/4 tsp. grnd cayenne pepper instead of 1/8 and we added 1 minced clove of garlic and 1/2 c. sharp 'white' cheddar cheese) as recommended by other reviewers which is why we rated it '4' stars instead of '5'. We also made sure to dice small cubes where the potatoes where concerned as suggested by other reviewers as well. Thanks for this recipe CARIBOUR. Cheerio :o)

Because I made a few adjustments/additions as per other reviewers(2tbsp of butter instead of 4/4oz bread crumbs instead of 8/1 garlic clove/1.5c sliced mushrooms/1tsp basil) I'm only giving this dish a 3-star. Even though I put most of the stuffing on top it still came out too 'mushy' in the end. I won't give up on this one and will definitely try it again until it gets at least a 4-star rating in this household. Thanks Linda. Cheers :o)

What a fabulous dish. Gave it a 4-star only because of the changes/increases I made to the recipe (used vegetable stock instead of water/doubled the basil,sweet paprika & oregano/only used half tsp garlic salt/and 1.5 cups of cheese/added 1 cup of thickly sliced mushrooms) as suggested by other reviewers otherwise it would've been a resounding 5-star.
