Bread Machine Bagels

This is a five star winner! It's easy, but does take time (worth every minute). I add a tablespoon of molasses to the boiling water to give it a bit of a glaze.

Moist Cinnamon Rolls

This is the real thing for a very special breakfast. Don't try to take shortcuts. For a change of pace I add shredded coconut once in a while in step 3 just to surprise everybody.

German Pancake

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2009
I made this German pancake and the buttermilk syrup for a surprise birthday brunch for my sister (who is very fussy) and it was a huge hit! Served it with a fresh fruit cup, gourmet sausages and naturally champagne cocktails.

Amish White Bread

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2009
I like this recipe for certain things like raisin, cinnamon or walnut bread, but as a table bread it's a bit too sweet for my taste. I cut the recipe in half and put the ingredients in my bread machine on dough cycle with 2 1/4 tablespoons of yeast. When cycle is complete I roll it out with a rolling pin into rectangle, brush with melted butter, sprinkle brown sugar and then add nuts, raisins, whatever and roll it up into a bread pan and bake when it has risen again 1/2 inch over top of pan. A great breakfast bread.

White Bread For The Bread Machine

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2009
This is a favorite. Quick as dough in the bread machine and then baked in the oven. It also makes a good pizza!

Easy Corn Chowder II

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2009
This is a good basic recipe, but I wonder about pouring out the stock from the cooked vegetables. I use minimum water and then just add the other ingredients. I don’t want to dump the vitamins and minerals down the drain. I use frozen corn instead of canned whole corn, add a diced carrot and a bit of diced bell pepper as well as a few drops of hot sauce.
