I am a certified herbalist/dietician/business owner. I am married and have 2 adult girls and 2 grandchildren. I also have 1 daughter I adopted(she has 3 kids)1 adult stepdaughter, and I fostered 11 children that are ALL grown up now. I love the arts. Music, art, crafting, all of it! I try to be healthy with most everything I do from making my own salves, lotions & creams to growing the herbs that I use in them and for cooking. I also am an avid gardener and love to go into the hills camping. I have 2 dogs, 2 cats, and an aquarium.
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake anything sweet. Just the look of delight from the kids makes it worthwhile. Over a year ago I underwent a gastric bypass and so what I personally can eat is quite limited from what I used to be able to eat. So now I normally just cook for my husband and he is fairly easy to please.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love cooking Thanksgiving dinner. Christmas Eve is always Chili at one house and finger foods at the other. New Years Eve is always potato and oyster stews at my house. I normally have oysters flew in from the east coast for this. Lefsa for Christmas.
