About this Cook
I am a mom of 4 small children and loving wife.
My favorite things to cook
i LOVE to cook. i can cook anything and everything. my husband's waistline is a testimony to my skillz!!
My favorite family cooking traditions
i love to cook w/my children. they help me every evening w/some aspect of cooking. whether it be...measuring, pouring, stirring, ect. they always help me.
My cooking triumphs
I made a butterfly cake for my daughter's 3rd birthday and a curious george cake (complete w/ fondant) for my son's 2nd birthday.
My cooking tragedies
About 8 or 9 years ago i began cooking. i also was new to the internet. i came across THIS website and thought i would take a try at a receipe. i figured how hard can this be. i CAN read and FOLLOW directions...so easy peasy. i found a receipe for "pound cake"....LITERALLY....12 eggs, 5 to 6 cups of flour, 2 to 3 cups of sugar.....you can see where this is going. like a lamb to slaughter i diligently put it all together and stuck it in the oven. i said to myself it doesn't look like moms but then again i never really paid attn either. 90 minutes later i had the WORST mess on my hands!! i called my mom and that is when she informed me that i had been HAD. like i said i was a beginner cook and learned the hard way. LOL

Eggnog Pancakes
i decided to use bisquick.....NO BUENO!! way too runny. yes i know it says to use flour but i "figured" flour/bisquick- same thing. Lesson learned!! i ended up adding about 3/4 cups of regular flour and voila....eatable pancakes.

Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce
i've made this 2 times. the first time it was very grainy....the second time very oily, lacked taste and still grainy. they say a 3rd time is a charm.....don't know about that.
