This is a great basic banana quick bread recipe. I followed Krista's suggestions (except the rum... but that sounds great!). I also added 1.5 cups pecans and 2 tsp. vanilla and made muffins instead of the loaf. This yielded 1.5 dozen muffins. Thanks for the great recipe and the fabulous suggestions.

I made this for my best friend's 30th Birthday dinner party and it was a wonderful addition to the potluck meal. It's wonderful fresh or the next day sliced for sandwiches. I didn't put the Tbs. of salt on top because that seemed like an aweful lot to me. Once accounting for that this is a 5 star recipe for ease and deliciousness :-)

Really light and yummy. I've been looking for ways to get more whole grains into my family members and this did the trick. My dad called it "vulgar wheat" before he tried it but was singing a different tune by the end of it. Super easy to make. The dressing was a little sweet but paired really well with a more savory entre. Next time I will cut down the sweet a little bit. Thanks a lot for this new summer favorite!

A very simple yet special dessert. I never make cupcakes cause I think they can be sort of boring but this was a lot of fun! I took them to a cook out and everyone was very pleased to find cookie dough in a pretty average looking dessert. I didn't even use frosting, which left them looking a bit ugly but they were really yummy. Also, a bit of advice: These are certainly better left in the refridgerator because the cookie dough is so much better when it's firm but if they do get gooey, it sets up again after a surprisingly short time in the refridgerator - a couple hours or so. Thanks for the wonderful recipe!

I'll probably keep shopping on a standard pizza dough recipe but this was really easy and pretty quick. It's good enough to try again with some changes. Most being personal preferences but I for sure recommend more seasoning. It is a bit bland but the good news is you can custom make it :-)

This is a wonderful base recipe with lots of room for experimenting. I roasted the squash whole instead. Sounded too difficult to go at raw. The only noteworthy change I made was I added 3/4 cup natural yogurt during the blending stage. I use natural yogurt as a sour cream/mayonnaise substitute often. In this particular recipe I wouldn't call it "as good as" sour cream but it gave it a nice smooth bite.

This will be my standard cake recipe! So easy and way better than boxed cake. However, I did follow the suggestions above - 1 1/2 cups milk and sunflower oil instead of shortening. Also, I used a flour combination that promised to create a tender cake and it worked: Substitute all the flour for this ratio, 2 parts flour to one part corn starch. An allrecipes user suggested this on another cake recipe and it worked beautifully. [I think for this particular recipe I used 1 1/2 cups flour and 3/4 cup corn starch, which is a little less than called for but it was great.]

I've never made naan before. I live in Central America and so I wasn't sure I'd be able to find already made naan at the store for our Indian themed party. I decided to try my hand at it with this recipe. It was a huge success! most of the pieces I ended up with were about the size of the palm of my hand. All the naan I've seen in my favorite Indian restaurants back home was twice that size so if I made this again I would either combine two of the balls before frying or make them twice as big from the start. Also, I don't have a grill so I just fried them on med-high heat in a covered skillet. Watch them closely! I burned a couple... Enjoy! The naan was delicious!

If you're looking for a great cake and filling recipe and have a standard chocolate frosting you want to use, this is your recipe. I thought this recipe was really great if for no other reason that I botched it a bit and it still got rave reviews. I accidentally put in 1 cup butter instead of the advised 3/4 cup. It was very dense but for it being a peanut butter cake, I don't think that's a total failure. If I make this again I would probably not add the extra 1/4 cup butter but it certainly wasn't dry like the other reviews have warned. Also, I really loved the filling! My only complaint is that I wasn't so much a fan of the frosting part as the filling. The peanut butter filling is SO EASY and really fancies up the cake. I felt the frosting left a little bit to be desired. Mine came out not too chocolaty. I was afraid it wouldn't be strong enough to couple well with the all that peanut butter so be prepared with a chocolate frosting back up if you like a richer chocolate taste. However, I'll use this recipe again for the cake and filling. Excellent.
