Born and raised in Chicago. Italian, so love food. Work in travel and managed to go to some nice destinations in US and Europe. Like to cook and bake and try new recipes. Have searched for items and ideas on the allrecipe website and found reviews to be very helpful.
My favorite things to cook
Italian meatballs, breaded veal cutlets, Italian sausage & potatoes, pound cake, pizzelles, pot roast, stew and chicken soup.

Raspberry and Almond Shortbread Thumbprints
I just tried this recipe today and it is great and fairly easy to make. These tasty morsels should be a bit hit with my family on Christmas Eve. I have now added this to my collection!

Whipped Shortbread Cookies
I made these for the first time today and they are great. I doubled the recipe and added vanilla also. When done, I did take a few and partially dipped them on one side in chocolate and they were also great. I will be using these for the Christmas holidays and will definitely make them again. A wonderful recipe and very tasty and they definitely do melt in your mouth! Thanks Carol for sharing this.

Janine's Best Banana Bread
I made this recipe and it was very good. The only thing I did add was a little mix of brown sugar w/cinnamon & nutmeg and added it to half the batter and also to the top of the cake, this time adding walnut pieces. It gave the cake a crunchy effect and was very good. The cake was very moist. Will definitely make this again.
