Homemade Black Bean Veggie Burgers
These were fun to make, not too laborious, flexible in terms of ingredient swops, cheap, and also particularly great for vegetarians that are mindful of protein intake (considering the beans, egg (up-ed it to 2 as someone recommended) and sliced cheese which is yummy melted atop the patties). I also rinsed the beans and let them drain overnight to dry out - saves that extra drying step, plus paper towels. To be fair, I didn't have the same spices on hand so I made some changes - substituted crushed red peppers for the chili powder and added some curry powder and onion salt as well - it still all came out well. I also used Panko for the bread crumbs, which worked fine. My veggie bf really liked these burgers, so we decided our next weekend activity will be mass-producing a stash of these for the freezer for future quick-and-nutritious dinners. Thanks for uploading!
