Black Magic Cake
Super easy!!! I did not have buttermilk so I added a 2.5 drops of lemon juice to whole milk. I cooked it in a bunt pan since my kids prefer no icing. We cut into it at about 9pm and I woke up to half the cake gone. This was a pure delight!!!

Southern Grits Casserole
My mother makes a variation of this recipe. It is very similar but it has a bit more cheese and is seasoned well. This recipe is missing the flavor. We use 2 cups of cooked grits mix with 4 cups of cheeder cheese. Add in 5 beaten eggs 2 tbsp of worchestire sauce, 1 tsp of Thyme, 1 tsp of garlic, and salt to taste. Then add in 2 lbs of sausage. It is great. This one is good but a bit bland.

Southern Peach Cobbler
This was an outstanding base to a great peach cobbler. I followed the advice of other reviews and added vanilla extract to the batter (approx 1tsp). I then used two 15oz cans of peaches in heavy syrup. Drained the juice of one and used the whole can of the other. Before adding the peaches to the dish I added spices to the peaches only. I also added a tsp of brown sugar in addition to the white sugar. It was superb. I had to make twice in two days because everybody did not get some. It disappeared overnight. Good thing this is a cinch to make.
