I am a happily married midwest girl who loves to feed people lol. My grandmother has influenced me a lot and I truly cherish the times I get to cook with her. I like to think I take after her in the fact that I can't let people be hungry in our home!
I work full time and stay pretty busy but I love spending a day in the kitchen when possible and enjoy quick meals throughout the week.
My favorite things to cook
I love casseroles and good "home cooked country meals". Thick pork chops, roasts and crock pot recipes are my favorites. I also love to bake pies and cheesecakes.I love trying new recipes and get a great satisfaction from making meals that my husband loves. As a young couple it's nice to have theat time to enjoy our meals and knowing that he loves my cooking:)
My favorite family cooking traditions
Growing up with a diabetic in the family I learned to bake sugar free deserts and loved surprising them with new yummy treats that they could actually have too!I also love learning recipes from my grandmothers and copy more every time I visit them:)
My cooking triumphs
My husband swore he hated meatloaf-until he met me:)
My cooking tragedies
For some reason I have bad luck with cookies:( They always turn out crunchy around the edges and gooey in the middle!
