My cooking tragedies
I made a birthday cake for my mom when I was 16 -- replaced flour with baking soda, reasoning that one white powder could substitute for another. When one of our guests chipped his tooth on my dessert, I learned my lesson.

Buttery Corn Bread
Delicious. A serious keeper. Made it exactly as the recipe instructed, and came out perfect!

Minestrone Soup I
Outstanding! As recommended by others, I doubled the tomato paste and used spinach rather than cabbage. I also threw in some green beans and extra pasta, and used Better than Bouillion rather than veggie stock. A keeper for sure!

Lentil Soup
Oh, this one is insanely good. I've tried it with more vinegar and less vinegar and I have to say, the original recipe works for me. Serve with some garlic crusty bread -- bon appetit!
