Whole Wheat Blueberry Pancakes

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2009
I loved these. I made a blueberry syrup with 1 c. water, 1/2 c. Splenda and 1/2 c. sugar, about 1 1/2 c. fresh blueberries, and 1/2 tbsp corn starch. The result was awesome. Even my 4 year old, who doesn't typically care for blueberries, loved it. I have already shared this recipes with my sisters!

Mrs. Sigg's Snickerdoodles

These were perfect. I couldn't keep them around the house for more than a day. I don't like snickerdoodles that taste too much like cream of tartar. These were perfect.

Almond Wild Rice

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2009
This recipe makes a lot! I could have easily halved the recipe for a dinner party of six. I used half golden raisins and half dried cranberries. It added a little more color to the presentation. Our company loved the rice. My husband was so impressed when he realized it was a "from scratch" recipe. Kids weren't so crazy about it, but that's because they don't care for nuts and berries...they would prefer Rice A Roni. :)

Maple Salmon

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2009
I made this for the first time when we had company for dinner (daring, but I trusted all the reviews). They each had THREE servings. Needless to say, it was a hit. Even my one year old loved it. This is our new "standard" Salmon recipe. Thanks!

Flourless Chocolate Cake I

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2009
I made this without the water bath or wax paper. I just sprayed the springform pan with PAM and it turned out perfectly. I served it with a fanned strawberry and whipped cream on top. Our guests absolutely loved it. I used Ghirardelli's bittersweet chocolate chips. This definitely has a dark chocolate taste. Personally, I would probably do half bittersweet and half semi-sweet next time. Also, be sure to give it ample time warm up to room temperature (a few hours at least). It makes it so much more enjoyable.

Slow Cooker Beef Stew I

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2009
Exactly what I was looking for. I cooked it on high for 4 hours. The only thing I changed was that I used whole wheat flour. It turned out beautifully and my husband absolutely loved it.

Aunty Pasto's Seafood Lasagna

I made it with two eggs, 1 1/2 cans of cream of mushroom soup and 1/4 cup milk. It was great!
