Since retiring two years ago I have "taken over the kitchen" (to my wife's delight)! I really enjoy the preparations involved in such things as homemade soups, salads and appetizers. I enjoy grilling as well, especially in the RV Parks where we stay on our motorhome vacations. Soups, Salads, Salsas, Potato Patties (which make good dumplings for the soups) and baked beans. I like to experiment with the beans, as I do my soups. Fun stuff! I enjoy it when our daughter visits and we decide to make something together. She enjoys my soups and salads (we both love chunky salsas) and she bakes great homemade breads! I took an old stuffing (potato) patty recipe from my mother and improved on it. They really taste great! Too many to list here....suffice it to say I have ruined more than one batch of baked beans - usually by not soaking the beans long enough before cooking them!
