About this Cook
I really enjoy cooking. It's one of the passions that I have that gets neglected thanks to my current economic situation, but if I can get my hands on stuff to cook, I cook and I cook for EVERYBODY!!!
My favorite things to cook
I love baking, but mostly I'm a dinner person. Growing up southern I learned how to make a lot of things with Spam, but when we left the South I learned how to make a lot more with actual food items. Sometimes my dishes sound weird, but experimenting is fun and it usually turns out well.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My family was never one to get together and cook, so I'd like to start some traditions. Currently, my mother and I cook for Thanksgiving and Christmas. I make one she makes the other and we try things out on each other, though she isn't as adventurous as I am.
My cooking triumphs
Tuna. You would be AMAZED at what I can throw together with a can of tuna... or Spam... But I'm also great at Steaks and Poultry, as well as Tofu and seafood. Makes my life.
My cooking tragedies
Chong Stew. Back in the stoner days of high school I made something we dubbed Chong Stew. The ingredients vary depending on whose house you're at but basically it's everything you can put in a pot and heat up in twenty minutes. Chef Boyardee, Hamburger Helper and left over soup stuff, mostly.

Fast and Friendly Meatballs
THESE WERE SO GOOD!!! I wanted to just throw something together, so this and some fried rice were just what the doctor ordered. I didn't have Italian seasoned breadcrumbs though, so I added tarragon, onion powder, parsley and cilantro. It was great!

Egg Fried Rice
This was great and super easy, which is great for me. I also managed to make it really cheap. Of course, I added things. This time around I did Turkey Meat Balls and was a little heavy on the Soy Sauce. It was delicious though. Even my finicky mother enjoyed it.
