I was never into cooking much until I bought a house with a great island in the kitchen. Makes cooking so much fun, I can work on my island space without having to move things around. I find I enjoy cooking with fresh produce and find the flavors are so more pronounced. Preparing box food just isn't an option anymore. Anything that is for a big gathering. I really didn't help cooking when I was a kid but I think my favorite memory as adult is making home made cinniman rolls with my bread machine for my friends and family. They are so much better than the "tube" ones. Cake - in a box, from scratch doesn't matter can not make a cake to save my life. I made one for my sister once for her birthday, my husband asked me to never make another one.
