About this Cook
I'm a mom. I work. I'm tired often. But my husband and I cherish family meals, so I work hard to have dinner on the table nightly. I love quick & easy recipes that taste good and are family-friendly, but also want some fancier fare, appetizers and main dishes, for when we entertain.
My favorite things to cook
We love Italian and your good ol' American meat-n-potatoes, but because of watching our wastelines, I'm always open to making these things in the healthiest fashion possible.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My husband's mom is a very good cook and spent more time on that than cleaning. I'm good at cleaning, and fearful that I'll never live up to her cooking with my husband. :-)
My cooking triumphs
Got invited to be part of a cooking group. That's good.
My cooking tragedies
Quite a few. The turkey that just wouldn't cook at Thanksgiving stands out the most. Still can't figure out what happened with that one!

Easy Olive Oil, Tomato, and Basil Pasta
You have to love an easy 5-ingredient recipe that's tasty. Like the idea of adding other ingredients to change it up, so thanks to the other reviewers for those tips, too.

Slow Cooker Sauerkraut and Sausage
The simplicity can't be beat. I cooked it on the stove top in a third of the time because I hadn't prepared correctly and it was still good. Tangy.

Tater Tot Casserole I
Very average. Bland. If I were to make it again I'd doctor it up.
