CHOCOLATE MICE

Shepherd's Pie VI
I scaled this recipe for 30 to take to my daughter's Brownie troop event, where our booth was about Ireland. We gave each child a "taste" of Ireland. There are about 100 girls at the event and they all loved it. Of course, I had to change the recipe a bit. I used a huge bag of frozen "Veg-all" and mixed it into the browend hamburger meat instead of smashing carrots. I didn't have time...but I did boil and mash real potatoes, with the skin left on. It was great! Thansk!

Chocolate Mice
Oh, yeah, these are cute and will pass the YUK! factor in my daughter's 3rd grade class Halloween party tomorrow. I changed a little bit. For the Chocolate wafer cookies, since the store was out of chocolate, I had to buy a variety pack with Choc, Vanilla and Strawberry. For the chocolate cookies, I used Chocolate Teddy Grahams. For the tails I used those caramel sheets...I cut them in thin strips with a pizza cutter and rolled them to mahe them round instead of flat. I didn't like pure powdered sugar, but a combo of the Teddy Grahams and sugar worked. I used red frosting for the eveys...mostly because I couldn't find the little balls at the time. I packed them in a small styrofoam cooler and labeled it "CAUTION LAB MICE"

Torta Rustica
Very nice recipe. It came out beautiful and the crust was much easier to make than any I have made before. I am not a proscuitto or ham fan, so I substitited with some pepperoni. Instead of roasted peppers I added olives and canned mushrooms and it was terrific. I will make this again (and again).
