Farmer's Market Vegetarian Quesadillas

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Definitely a winner. Made it the first time and I entered it into a pie contest at my church and won first prize. Will be my go to recipe for apple pie. My husband who is a die hard apple pie fan loved this.

Spinach Lentil Soup

This is a winner in my home. I used brown rice instead of white, halved the red peppers for the kids taste and reversed the broth and water amounts as suggested.

BBQ Pork for Sandwiches

This was delicious. It was a huge hit at my daughters birthday party. Will definitely make again. Used some beer along with the broth and used Sweet Baby Ray's barbecue sauce with a couple dashes of hot sauce.

Asparagus Parmesan

Easy and tasty recipe. I only used 2 tbs olive oil and 1 tbs butter, it was the perfect amount. Added minced garlic after 8 minutes of cooking.

Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

Great recipe. I used a previous reviewers suggestion and cooked in chicken broth for 3 hours on low, shredded chicken then added other ingredients and cooked on low for another 3 hours. Husband and Kids loved it on rice with stirfry vegetables. Both suggested next time we'll try it on mashed potatoes or in a tortilla with sour cream. Only four stars because of the change.

Blonde Brownies I

First time I heard of these and first attempt at making them. Turned out more cakelike than brownie like but was good anyway. My family voted to make again and have with vanilla ice cream. I stirred in the chocolate chips and sprinkled a handful on top, which was perfect. Did not harden like some reviews stated, I stored the leftovers in an airtight container and they were great the next day as well.

Lower Fat Banana Bread I

This recipe gets 5 stars from me just for being such a delicious tasting low fat recipe. I used 1/3 cup of applesauce and 1 T light butter for butter and eggbeaters for the eggs, added a teaspoon each of vanilla and cinnamon. Thanks for sharing.

Slow Cooker Spinach Marinara Sauce

Great idea and starter recipe. The spices and definitely red pepper need to be measured in teaspoons. I omitted the tomatoe paste and added tomatoe sauce. Added browned ground turkey and used as sauce for a lasagna. It was great.
